Welcome to Run Island. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Run Island website, accounts, event information, notifications, and related services.

By using Run Island, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

  • Saving or following events
  • Receiving event notifications or reminders
  • Managing account preferences

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure
  • Maintaining the accuracy of your account information
  • All activity performed through your account
  • Informing us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization

You may not create an account using another person's identity or email address without permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, or create security risks.

3. Event Information

Run Island may display information about running events, including dates, locations, distances, organizers, routes, descriptions, and other details.

We aim to provide useful and accurate information, but event details may change without notice.

Run Island does not guarantee that event information is:

  • Complete
  • Current
  • Error-free
  • Officially confirmed
  • Suitable for your individual circumstances

You should confirm important event details directly with the event organizer before attending or making travel, registration, or other arrangements.

4. Participation in Running Events

Running, trail running, hiking, racing, and related outdoor activities involve inherent risks.

These risks may include injury, illness, falls, traffic, difficult terrain, weather conditions, dehydration, wildlife, equipment failure, getting lost, and other hazards.

Run Island does not organize or control third-party events unless explicitly stated.

You are responsible for deciding whether an event or activity is appropriate for you and for taking suitable precautions.

Participation in any event is at your own risk.

Where an event is organized by a third party, that organizer's own rules, waivers, terms, and policies may also apply.

5. Notifications and Reminders

If you choose to receive event notifications or reminders, we may send communications to the email address associated with your account.

Notifications are provided for convenience only.

We do not guarantee that:

  • A notification will be delivered
  • A notification will arrive at a particular time
  • Event information contained in a notification will remain current
  • Email providers or other systems will successfully deliver every message

You should not rely solely on Run Island notifications for important event deadlines, cancellations, safety information, or schedule changes.
